תלמוד בבלי נהרדעא - Talmud Bavli Nahardea - Shas Mussafim - 20 Volume Set without Mishnayos
The Vagshal Shas brought about a true revolution in the way Torah was traditionally printed and learned. For the first time, the entire Shas and its classic commentaries were completely re-edited and reformatted with clarity and precision, presenting the Torah learner with a clean, eye-opening layout and a refined, readable script. Special focus was given to the commentary of Rashi, with meticulous corrections, as well as to the inclusion of vital Rishonim directly on the daf—eliminating the need to flip constantly to the back of the Gemara.
Now, the latest and most elegant edition has been released—an upgrade unlike anything seen before.
This new edition restores many censored passages and includes:
-
Mosif Rashi – Selections from Rashi’s writings elsewhere that shed light on the sugya.
-
Mosif Tosafos – Valuable insights from other Rishonim that enhance the understanding of Tosafos.
-
A complete, newly typeset edition of Rabbeinu Chananel, plus extensive corrections and emendations to Ein Mishpat, Mesoras HaShas, Haghos HaBach.
Across multiple masechtos, classic commentaries have been re-edited and restored, such as:
-
Rav Nissim Gaon on Berachos
-
Tosafos Yeshanim on Yoma and Yevamos
-
Tosafos Rid on Kiddushin
-
A full restoration of Rabbeinu Chananel on Bava Kama and Bava Metzia, previously missing in many editions
-
Re-edited Rosh based on manuscript comparisons
-
Fully reviewed versions of the Maharsha, Maharshal, and Maharam
Even the Rif has been re-typeset and clarified, while maintaining the traditional tzuras hadaf. The same care was taken in the reprinting of the Tosefta and the Mordechai.
Additionally, expanded Hagahos and Chiddushim from the Acharonim appear clearly on the daf in a user-friendly format.
A major focus was placed on Seder Kodashim, which historically suffered from printing errors. Now, with careful proofreading and an overhaul of the Rishonim on the page, the sugyos are presented in a clear and approachable way, with essential corrections and notes laid out logically to assist the learner.
We also enhanced and clarified many of the diagrams found throughout the Gemara, bringing them up to a new standard of clarity and usefulness.
It’s clear: Learning from the Vagshal Shas is a fundamentally different experience. With crisp, clear lettering and a wealth of tools for deeper understanding, this edition was designed with serious thought so that the learner can navigate the daf with clarity and depth—l’harbitz Torah b’rabbim.
